It is time again for the annual heart-stopping, smash -'em - up action of the Rio Linda Lions Club Demolition Derby! The Derby takes place on September 11th at the Central Park Horse Arena on the corner of Elkhorn and 6th Street in Rio Linda.
You can compete with a stock, modified, mini, or pick-up. Pre-registered entry is $70.00 per Car which includes a driver and a pitman, additional pitmen are $15.00 each. Day of derby entry $80.00 per car which includes a driver and a pitman, additional pitmen are $20.00 each. All events determined by number of entries. Each class has own main event. If you want to enjoy the show from the spectator side, come on down. Pit gates open at 1pm and the smash 'em up starts around 4pm. Discount pre-sale tickets for the spectator side can be purchased at Papa’s Pizzeria, Archway Market, Rio Linda Hardware, Tummy’s, or Rio Java for $12 (over 12) and $5 (12 and under). It will be $15 and $5 at the gate.
The demolition derby is fun for the entire family. All of the profits generated from this event are given back to the community so come, have a good time, and support the community you live in.
