Northwood
Students celebrated Patriot Day on September 11 through acts of
service to others. The day began with Mrs. Kouzel's 3rd grade class
leading the entire school in the Pledge of Allegiance. All students
drew and colored flags with their own unique pledge to create a
better world. Children also learned about and discussed Patriot Day
in class during the morning. After lunch, students wrote letters to
thank soldiers overseas and first responders in afternoon. They
volunteered to read their letters aloud to share with their
classmates and honor their heroes together.
