NOT FOUND: the effort1.jpgThe Effort North Highlands Family Resource Center offers free classes, groups, and events to families with children aged 0- to 5-years-old of North Highlands, Antelope, Rio Linda, and other north communities. All classes, groups, and events are free of cost and open to any family who would like to participate.
NOT FOUND: the effort2.jpgThe Big Hands, Little Hands event is a twice monthly event focused on school readiness for 2- to 5-year olds and their parent or caregiver. The First 5, Sacramento funded Family Resource Center believes that working on school readiness activities such as color recognition, shape sorting, and scissor practice creates children who are ready and prepared to begin school when they are older.
At February’s Big Hands, Little Hands event the children practiced cutting and gluing crafts in honor of President’s Day, and were able to take home a hat, a log cabin made of pretzels, and make a delicious red, white, and blue snack.
The Effort North Highlands Family Resource Center invites all children aged 2- to 5-year-old to their upcoming March Big Hands, Little Hands events on 3/8 and 3/22!
