SETA- Sacramento Works Offering Free Green
Careers Workshops
Regional estimates from the Sacramento Area Regional Technology Alliance
place job growth from the clean energy industry at over 10,000 jobs during
the ten year period beginning in 2006. The Sacramento region has
invested and received a substantial amount of funds to develop this
industry sector as well as train individuals for green jobs.
In an effort to educate the community about this 'Clean-Green' industry, a
workshop has been developed by The Sacramento Employment and
Training Agency (SETA) and Sacramento Works, Inc. to help those who are
interested in green jobs/careers.
The workshop will provide participants with the basic understanding of:
• What green jobs are
• Where green jobs can be found
• Resources and strategies for finding your green career niche
• Resources about clean-green training programs
