Reducing your water use can be easy. Here’s what you can do.

During rainy weather, turn off your automatic irrigation controller.
Water landscaping and plants only when necessary.
Turn off the faucet while brushing teeth or shaving.
Install water efficient devices such as low flow showerhead and faucet aerators. Both are available at no charge from Sacramento Suburban Water District (SSWD).
Check your faucets and toilets for leaks. Fixing them can be as simple as replacing a washer or toilet flapper.
Replacing your older toilets and clothes washer with high efficiency ones can save thousands of gallons of water per year.

Rebate forms are available from SSWD.
