A new church has moved into the North Highlands area of Sacramento. Victory Life Bible Church is located at 5697 Hillsdale Blvd. in the Foothill Farms Shopping Center next door to the Goodwill store. The church has been in existence for six years and moved to its new location in July 2009. It will officially dedicate its new building on Saturday, February 20, 2010 with the Office of the Mayor participating in the event by cutting the ribbon at 2:00 p.m. Delegates from Nigeria, London, Germany and several states will also participate in the celebration. All are invited to meet and greet as we celebrate the joyous occasion of the official dedication of our new church building.
Senior Pastor Gbenga Talabi and his congregation received a warm welcome by local businesses and community residents upon moving to its new location. Many residents shared an overwhelming belief that a church was definitely needed in this particular area of the city. Church members and several community residents joined together to renovate a building that had been vacant for over two years and had previously been used as a bank and day care center.
Since the church has opened for God’s business, many neighbors have joined this multicultural congregation in praise and worship services and bible study classes. Many local residents have benefitted from the church’s charitable activities as it operates a food supplement program in conjunction with Food Link and Senior Gleaners.
