NOT FOUND: principals list.jpgI recently had the pleasure of sharing donuts and hot chocolate with our first trimester Principal’s List students – 4th grader Luke A.; 5th graders Alex A. and Maddy B.; and 8th graders Jacob K., Brooke S., Megan K., and Jessica M. While we enjoyed our treats, they shared their method of earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
In addition to always completing their homework, all seven students are active participants in their learning. They ask questions in class. Also, they take notes during class and then use those notes to study for tests.
They suggest that students always check their work - especially in math. Many of these Principal’s List students ask their parents and teachers to review their written essays well before the due date so they can make necessary improvements.
Throughout our conversation the theme I kept hearing was, “Be involved in class and in your learning.” By being active participants in their learning Luke, Alex, Maddy, Jacob, Brooke, Megan, and Jessica have achieved Pleasant Grove School’s highest academic honor. Keep up the great work!
