NOT FOUND: hhs1.jpgHighlands Alumni Matt Cokley knew that he would be inheriting a strong team this year at Highlands High School (HHS) in his first year as a head coach. As the Junior Varsity coach for several years and an involved volunteer with the local youth feeder program, he was very familiar with the young men that would make up his team.
While he was optimistic and ex- cited about the opportunity, even Cokley could not have predicted the amount of success they would enjoy their first year together.

Cokely played under former coach Harris while attending HHS in the early 1990’s. While the team he played on at that time made the playoffs, but the current Scots team will go much further.

Robert Garvin scored three touchdowns on four touches, includ- ing an 80-yard run, in the Scots’ win.
HHS will face off against Le Grand on Saturday, November 27, at the Grape Bowl in Lodi to determine this year’s Division V Section Champion.
