NOT FOUND: gfwc.jpgThe GFWC Antelope-North County Women’s Club will join the members of the other community groups and businesses at the 10th Annual Antelope Community Sale on August 14th. We will have the usual books and for the first time we will also have flea market items for sale. Please stop and say hello and purchase something; all the money will go to help fund our community projects. We have a wonderful 2010-2011 club year planned. We will be thrilled to talk to you about our plans for next year. We are always looking for new members. Are you looking for a special group of ladies to join? We would love to have your help with our projects.
On October 9, 2010 at 1:30 pm at the Antelope-North Highlands Library on Antelope Road, we are having a seminar on teenage dating & the violence that can occur in those relationships. We hope that parents, teens and pre-teens will attend to learn more about this area of concern. October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. We are going to collect clothing for women, men and teens that have been affected by domestic violence. The clothes will be donated to the shelter in Citrus Heights, The Harmony House. It is our closest domestic violence shelter. We encourage everyone who attends to bring an article of clothing to help a victim of violence. This will be our third annual domestic violence awareness event. As plans are finalized we will let you know more.
