Riles Middle School, Antelope. The Board of Supervisors, County of Sacramento proclaimed Friday, February 26, 2010 as “Love Shouldn’t Hurt” Day/ Poster Contest.
Teen dating violence and bullying are a serious and growing problem in our communities, and approximately one in three adolescent girls in the United States is a victim of physical, emotional or verbal abuse from a dating partner. The Eighth Grade Art Class at Wilson C. Riles created posters commemorating teen violence prevention, and the contest was a great success. Winners were announced and prizes awarded during a luncheon assembly. The winners are as follows:
