NOT FOUND: teen violence awareness.jpgAntelope Community Action Team and a group of community leaders joined together to sponsor Teen Date Violence Awareness at Wilson C. Riles Middle School, Antelope. The Board of Supervisors, County of Sacramento proclaimed Friday, February 26, 2010 as “Love Shouldn’t Hurt” Day/ Poster Contest.

Teen dating violence and bullying are a serious and growing problem in our communities, and approximately one in three adolescent girls in the United States is a victim of physical, emotional or verbal abuse from a dating partner. The Eighth Grade Art Class at Wilson C. Riles created posters commemorating teen violence prevention, and the contest was a great success. Winners were announced and prizes awarded during a luncheon assembly. The winners are as follows:
