grand_opening.jpgThe new North Highlands Golden Corral buffet had its official VIP Welcome/Ribbon Cutting Grand Opening on Friday, August 14. More than 250 guests were in attendance for the celebration. The event was hosted by Golden Corral and the Antelope-North Highlands Chamber of Commerce.

Among the VIPs in attendance were LaShelle Dozier, executive director of Sacramento Housing & Redevelopment Agency; Susan Peters and Roger Dickinson, County Supervisors; Keith Weber, President of the Antelope-North Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Leo McFarland, President/CEO of Sacramento Volunteers of America.

In celebration of the ribbon cutting ceremony, local business owners and their staff/families were invited to be guests at a fabulous breakfast feast. There were crepes, biscuits and gravy, an awesome breakfast quiche and chicken fried steak. Several made-to-order stations were also set-up where guests were able to have custom-made omelets, pancakes and waffles. At the donut shop, the younger guests eagerly watched as the mouth-watering donuts were made fresh. Then they were allowed to coat them in powdered sugar and/or cinnamon and sugar themselves. The usual eggs, bacon, several varieties of sausage, French toast, corned beef hash and toast were available as well. It was quite the spread, and everything was delicious.
