Trinity Life Center, located at Hillsdale and Madison just off Highway 80, has announced a
weekend of celebration, October 3 and 4. In the past year major effort has been put forth to
beautify the grounds, remodel the kitchen, and to give the sanctuary a makeover. The entire
project cost of just over one-half million dollars was raised in extra offerings from the
constituents.
A special “homecoming” banquet will be held at 6 pm on Saturday, October 3, at the church
facility. Special guests will be former pastors and leaders of the church. A video will be shown
touching on the history of the ministry since the early 1950’s. On Sunday at 10 am, the very
special guest for ministry will be the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Dr.
George O. Wood. Dr. Wood has been the leader of the 65 million member church world-
wide since 2007. He was reelected to a four-year term in early August at the General
Council sessions held in Orlando, Florida. Headquarters of the Assemblies of God is in
Springfield, Missouri.
According to Senior Pastor, Glen D. Cole, the church had fallen into a period of lost member-
ship, declining revenues, and property disrepair. The church asked Dr. Cole to become the
pastor in May of 2008. Attendance has increased dramatically, the property has been given
much needed attention, and the people have responded with excitement and anticipation.
