James Tokuno has been named general manager of the Garden Pavilion at McClellan Park.

“We are pleased to welcome James Tokuno to the team at McClellan Park,” said McClellan Park President, Larry Kelley. “He is an accomplished, catering professional who excels in event management, marketing and operations. James will make an invaluable contribution and raise the bar in many different areas of the Garden Pavilion.” With our new operational program, organizations and individuals can rent the facility for events and select from our list of preferred caterers.

In his new role, Tokuno will be responsible for managing and organizing all events, promoting social and corporate business, maintaining vendor relations and overseeing the marketing and advertising for the Garden Pavilion. He will also lead a team of event and facility personnel. His focus is to bring the Garden Pavilion to the next level of excellence, following the recently completed renovation. He has more than 25 years of experience in the restaurant and catering industry. Prior to joining McClellan Park, Tokuno served as the Banquet Manager at Arden Hills Resort Club & Spa. Previously, he worked at A Shot of Class Restaurant & Catering, Embassy Suites, Piatti Ristorante and Frank Fat’s Restaurant. Tokuno currently serves as Membership Chair of the Sacramento Chapter of NACE (National Association of Catering Executives).
