Students at Oak Hill Elementary School have a program going on this year that - particularly in light of our bleak economic times and the impact it is having on our schools - we would like to ask all of you to help us with. The program is Box Tops For Education. It is fast, easy, and all it takes to participate is to buy products you already use at home, then cut out the pink Box Top symbol from the side of the packaging and save it for us. The symbol varies in size but is usually about the size of a postage stamp. The list of participating products is quite extensive, ranging from Viva paper towels and Ziplock baggies to breakfast cereal and cake/brownie mixes, croissants or Hamburger Helper.... For a complete list of participating products, please visit: www.boxtops4education.com/earn/clip/brands.aspx? WT.mc_id=taf_promo_SpreadtheWord
Please consider helping us. Keep a baggie in a drawer or magnetized to the refrigerator door and just add Box Tops in whenever you get a new one. The school's goal is to earn a minimum of $3,000 this year, which is a jump over last year's earnings of $2,290, but is entirely realistic none-the-less (or so we hope - each Box Top is worth $.10). We are already off to a great start, but need YOUR help to make the most of this program.
We would be particularly grateful to you not only for saving your own Box Tops for us, but if you would also ask all your friends, neighbors, relatives and co-workers if they would consider saving theirs for us as well. Whatever we earn through Box Tops will make a huge difference to the PTA's bottom line, and therefore affects how we are able to help students with field trips, assemblies and special programs, classroom supplies, books for the classroom and library, teacher allotments, special projects and campus improvements, among many other things. And with Box Tops, a little goes a long way....
Collected Box Tops can be returned directly to the school, at 3909 North Loop, and you don't need to have or know a student attending our school in order to help. If you have any questions about the program, or need clarification, please feel free to contact Oak Hill's Box Top coordinator at oakhillelementarypta@yahoo.com. Thank you, in advance, very much for your consideration and help!!!
PS - If you are doing any on-line shopping (the holidays will be here before you know it!!!), you can also log on to the Box Tops For Education website, and Oak Hill will get credit for many of the purchases that you make. And that means more $$$ in the classroom....
