The North Highlands Recreation and Park District is pleased to invite the residents of North Highlands to the Grand Opening Celebration of Freedom Park. This special event will take place Saturday, May 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Civic leaders invited to attend include Supervisor Roger Dickenson and State Senator Darrell Steinberg.
Following the opening ceremonies, attendees are invited to stay and enjoy all the amenities the park has to offer, including two age appropriate play structures, a basketball court, horseshoe pits, a butterfly garden and plenty of open green space. In addition, there will be a bounce house, carnival games, food vendors and live entertainment.
Freedom Park is located at the corner of Dudley Boulevard and Freedom Park Drive, next to the Aerospace Museum. The park is available now for picnic rentals and your special events.
