This year, Village Elementary School will celebrate 50 years of educating North Highland’s children. Over the years many people in our community have attended Village Elementary or have had children who attended. The celebration will begin with a kick of on Saturday May 3, 2008, with activities planned throughout the following week, May 5–9. Some ideas for the celebration are: a carnival with a barbeque, interviews of past students and staff members, lessons taught about Vikings, 50th Anniversary souvenirs, a school logo competition, a cultural potluck, and 1957 day. You may have other ideas or would like to help make the ones listed a reality!
