Mobile animal clinic visits neighborhoods to make it easier for pet owners

The County of Sacramento has scheduled the Spay/Neuter Commuter to visit the North Highlands community during the month of March. The Commuter will be at 5026 Don Julio: the County North Corporation Yard (the old SMUD building) at the corner of Don Julio and Elkhorn Boulevard.

This "clinic on wheels" provides low-cost spay/neuter surgery for cats and dogs. The costs range from $15 - $40, and include vaccinations and pet license. The clinic will be open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, beginning March 4, with check in starting at 8:00 a.m. The last clinic date will be March 26. Clinic visits are by appointment only.

There are certain requirements necessary for your pet to receive service. Dogs must weigh 60 lbs or less and be under 6 years of age. If your pet is not with in this criteria, please refer to our listing of other spay/neuter services at www.saccountyshelter.net or call 874-FIXX (3499).

Please note: do not feed your pet after 12 midnight prior to all scheduled surgeries.
