The Grant Adult School is getting the word out. They are celebrating Adult Education Week starting with an International Potluck on March 10th from 10:30 am-1 pm. Two days later their “Festival of Nations” displaying the diverse cultures represented in their classrooms and the neighborhood happens on March 13th from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Festival of Nations is an annual event that celebrates diversity and hopefully gets the word out about the importance of Adult Education says Program Assistant Pam Edgington.

“Most people do not understand what it is we do for no cost. We are part of public education so most classes are free.”

This is the school’s last year in the Grant District soon to be a part of the Twin River Unified School District when the combining of Grant, Rio Linda, North Sacramento and Del Paso School Districts happens this summer.

While the International Potluck will be served in the school café, coffee/tea and cookies will be available during the "Festival of Nations" located in the training room. Grant Adult School is located nearest to Roseville Road and Watt Avenue; the address is 3222 Winona Way, North Highlands, CA 95660. For more information call the school at (916) 286-3801
