The Girl Scouts' Heart of Central California, Alta Tierra Service Unit, would like to invite all girls grades K-6 to an Outdoor Extravaganza! Scheduled for Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Rusch Park from 10:00 a.m. through 2:30 p.m., the event provides an opportunity for girls to learn new skills by participating in various outdoor activities. Planned for the day are fun-filled events such as games, tent pitching, learning trail signs and knot tying as well as a nature walk, GORP making and parachute fun.
Girls attending should wear closed-toed shoes and should avoid wearing tank tops to prevent sunburn. Each girl should also bring a sack lunch and water bottle clearly labeled with her name. Additionally, each non-Girl Scout must have a parent or guardian present for check in and to complete the necessary paperwork. Parents are welcome to stay, so please feel free to bring a lawn chair or blanket to relax and enjoy the outdoors!
There is no cost to attend the event; however, for insurance purposes all non-Girl Scouts must pay the $10.00 membership fee. Membership forms are available at the event and payment in the form of cash or check payable to GSHCC is accepted.
