North Highlands, CA—There is a new club on campus at Highlands Academy that is determined to give everyone the "royal" treatment they deserve. Students at Highlands created the Royalty Club, because they decided it was time for people to realize their royal heritage and face the fact that everyone has royal potential.
Every month the club serves others in one form or another. Students in the club recently enjoyed working with kindergarten, first and second grade students at Hillsdale Elementary in an effort to teach the students how true princesses and princes act.
After the presentations, the Principal Julie Struckmeyer asked the Royalty Club to come back every month. She felt it was a great way for the students to connect to the high school students and the younger kids would be more likely to listen to their older peers.
In December, the Royalty Club plans to help serve ice cream to the residents of Asbury Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center as well as pamper the ladies there with a manicure. Other service projects in the works for December are serving at the TLC Soup Kitchen and putting together Christmas gifts for the kids at the Children’s Receiving Home of Sacramento.
The club originally started as the Princess Club, but adopted the name Royalty Club because there were many boys who joined the club. The mission of the club is to help people to act and feel like royalty no matter their background or upbringing.
