Low Income Renters - Sacramento Habitat for Humanity (SHfH) is recruiting families for its "First Time Homebuyer Program". Families who have a "need" for housing may qualify for a Habitat home.

If you have one of the following needs (or all of them) you may qualify?

1. Living in substandard housing (inadequate housing),
2. Overcrowded conditions or
3. Paying 50% of income for rent.

Families must also demonstrate financial responsibility, have good credit and be willing to help build their own home (500 hours of sweat equity), be residents of Sacramento County and have the ability to repay a zero interest mortgage loan. SHfH’s lowest mortgage is $200 per month!

Register today for SHfH’s first meeting, Saturday, January 5, 2008.Orientation is 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM. Come early. (Latecomers are not admitted to the orientation - even if one-minute late). Parents please make arrangements for children as baby-sitting services ARE NOT provided.

Sacramento Habitat for Humanity (SHfH), a housing ministry based on Christian principles, builds new homes for low income families who have a need for housing. The money collected from the mortgage payments is put into the "Fund for Humanity" to help build more homes for more families.

SHFH not only wants to build houses but seeks to build strong community relationships, break down barriers, promote love and understanding, revitalize neighborhoods and activate faith.
