At the request of the Roseville Joint Union High School District, the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors voted to rename a segment of Poker Lane to Titan Drive. The new street name ties to the name of the mascot of the new Antelope High School under construction in the near vicinity.
"This is a great opportunity to help promote a positive school-oriented image within the Antelope community," said District 4 Supervisor Roberta MacGlashan.
The change applies to a 1400 ft segment of Poker Lane that lies just east of Elverta. The segment east of Don Julio will remain Poker Lane. There were no properties that fronted onto this segment of Titan Drive, and nearby service providers and property owners have been notified. "We didn’t receive any objections," MacGlashan added.
New street signs will be installed by the County Department of Transportation sometime in early 2008.
