Brr… come join us for North Highlands Recreation & Park District’s 2nd Annual Polar Swim! This chilly event will be held on Saturday, January 26th, 2008 at our Community Pool, 3701 Stephen Drive. Participants will have the opportunity to take the plunge into our chilly waters, make a hasty (or not so hasty) retreat, enjoy a cup of cocoa, cookies, a photograph, and receive an “I survived the 2nd Annual NHRPD Polar Swim” T-Shirt. Cost is $10.00 per person, $12.00 day of event. All participants must complete and sign a District Waiver. People under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian complete this information. Please wear appropriate attire and bring a towel. Hot cocoa and donuts will be available to purchase for a reasonable price.

Local businesses are encouraged to take part in the Corporate Challenge! Bring as many of your co-workers as you can and see if you have what it takes to survive the plunge! Churches, Restaurants, Credit Unions & Banks, Retailers, everyone is encouraged to participate.
The water will be cold, please check with your health care provider if you have any conditions that may be aggravated.
