NOT FOUND: business spotlight.jpgIn 2003, Tahir and Mubaraka Diwan left Oregon and moved to our community where they opened their original store in North Highlands, Mail & Copy Plus. In 2008, they opened a second location in the Raley’s shopping center just down the road called Post-It. As these businesses continued to succeed, they were able to open up yet a third store – also called Post-It – in the WINCO shopping center in Antelope this past March.

Not only can you send letters/packages, rent mail boxes, send/receive faxes, make copies, have keys made and purchase legal forms at all three of these businesses in our area; but you can access the Internet right in the stores and find various office supplies such as pens, paper, envelopes, cards and more.

Need custom signs and/or banners professionally made? If so, the Diwans are just the ones for the job. They can print signs on vinyl or mount them on foam core, make decals and magnets and other signage for personal and professional use.

With the holidays quickly approaching, considering giving customized gifts for Christmas this year. Stop by and see Tahir and Mubaraka. They can make t-shirts, key chains and other gifts from your family photos. Tahir said he recently had a customer bring a photograph in that he enlarged, printed and mounted on foam core. The customer was extremely pleased as he was able to make it a gift for his daughter, and it turned out perfectly.

Speaking of gift giving, visit any one of the three locations for all of your holiday shipping needs. They have packing materials, boxes and tape available. Avoid long lines at the Post Office by stopping by one of these conveniently located stores. They can ship your packages via USPS®, UPS®, FedEx® or DHL® – all from one location. They also have moving boxes available for your convenience.

All three of the Diwan’s stores offer notary services. A customer by the name of Vickie stated that a few years ago her sister was terminally ill and required the services of a notary public. She went to Mail & Copy Plus and asked Tahir if it were possible for the notary public to come out to her car to notarize some documents for her sister as it was difficult for her to get in and out of the car. Tahir was more than happy to help these customers. Vickie stated that he was not only professional in dealing with them, but that he went out of his way to be kind and caring toward her sister. At that time, Tahir advised her that they also offer mobile notary service. If you or your loved ones are unable to make it to their stores, give Tahir or Mubaraka a call, and they can arrange for a notary public to come to you.

We asked Tahir what the secret to having a thriving business is in a tough economy. First and foremost he credited his wife, Mubaraka, whom without her support he would have not been successful. As to the business, he stresses hard work and dedication to progress in the business. He prides himself in Customer Service Excellence, providing the same to quality service to every customer whether “it’s a thousand dollar sign or a copy for a dime

If you’ve not yet had the privilege of meeting the Diwans, stop by and see them. They are always willing to help however they can. They have proudly sponsored various youth sports teams, as well as participating in other community activities North Sacramento Community over the last three years, providing signs and banners for the North Highland Jubilee, supporting the 2008 Sacramento Sherriff’s Thanksgiving Food Drive and numerous events with the North Sacramento News. Tahir and Mubaraka both feel that community involvement is a essential part of having a thriving business.

As I’m sure you’ve noticed, the shopping center where Mail & Copy Plus is located is getting a facelift, but they are still open for business during the construction, and are located right next to Mountain Mike’s Pizza.
